Infinity Lounge is a virtual departure lounge for people wishing to travel through time. Register your details and should any visiting time travellers require a companion or a person from the present to accompany them on their journey, they can visit InfinityLounge.com and search for suitable candidates.
It sounds like science fiction, and of course it is. However science fiction is only impossible until it becomes possible – at the turn of the 20th century, just over 100 years ago, it was considered science fiction to have such outlandish thoughts of space travel or even just flying around the globe; concepts that are now everyday occurrences.
Infinity Lounge looks ahead of current technology and asks the question – What if? What if, maybe not in 100 years, maybe not in 1000 years, but sometime in the far-distant future the technology to travel through time becomes a reality? What is far-fetched science fiction today may not be so far-fetched in the future.
But it is science fiction – of course it is.
But what if…?
As of today's date ( Saturday, 4th September, 2010 ) the technology to allow time travel is not currently available, Infinity Lounge is based on the possible ability of future generations to travel through time if the technology becomes available.

What is time travel?
From Wikipedia: Time travel is the concept of moving between different moments in time in a manner analogous to moving between different points in space, either sending objects (or in some cases just information) backwards in time to a moment before the present, or sending objects forward from the present to the future without the need to experience the intervening period (at least not at the normal rate).
Are you telling me you've built a time machine?
No. Nothing of the sort. Infinity Lounge is based around the idea that future generations may have the technology to build a time machine.
Is time travel possible?
Current known laws of physics suggest that travel through time, either forward or backwards is not possible. As of today's date ( Saturday, 4th September, 2010 ) time travel has not been made possible.
If time travel is not possible, what is the point of Infinity Lounge?
Although time travel is not currently possible, theoretically, one day it may be possible - and if that is the case, what would stop travellers from our future visiting our current time? Remember, it was only in 1903 that the Wright brothers made the first powered aircraft flight - a feat that was though impossible for hundreds of years; and hundreds of years before that date, scientists and scholars believed the Earth was flat - and we all know how that turned out.
So while current science suggests that time travel is not possible,future scientific breakthroughs may make it possible one day to travel through time.
What is to guarantee I'll ever meet a time traveller?
Nothing. As previously stated, time travel is not currently possible, and may never be possible so you may never meet a time traveller.
