I'm part of a recon team from the future of an alternate, "original" timeline. I'm just curious if what we're doing here is actually going to work. Unfortunately, I know of no way for me to find this out while still being part of this altered timeline, but who knows? Maybe another traveler is aware of a loophole I've missed. ;-)
The Itinerary is a list of dates - either in the future or past that time travellers may be able to help Solomon visit.
By this time in the original timeline, humanity had already been extinct for over 100 years. We're pretty sure this timeline will successfully reintroduce the species - if we're still here by 2100, that means we've more than likely succeeded in doing more than merely delaying the extinction (i.e., humanity's survival will likely be long-term). This is the primary itinerary item. If I'd have the chance to do only one, this would be it. The other items I'm listing aren't nearly so compelling, though they are indeed eras I'd like to visit -if- resources and authorization permit.
In the original history that had also seen humanity extinct by the year 2000, the Spanish Armada made their rendezvous unchallenged and unhindered. The war between the Grande y Felicisima Armada and the English navy had gone in an entirely different direction - Elizabeth I had been successfully defeated and executed, England falling under the reign of King Philip of Spain. This had a very dramatic effect on politics and philosophy, though oddly the world by the time it had reached that timeline's equivalent of the "modern" age looked much the same as it did in this one. . .The defeat of the Spanish Armada in this war was a result of infiltration by the same transtemporal manipulation that's managed to keep humanity from obliterating itself thus far. It was one of the earliest identifiable acts of this mission, though far from the absolute first in the sequence. I'd love watching the historical differences emerge as the new events began taking their course.
